jiya laage naa..

this amazing song of talaash has intrigued me every time i have heard it..

it reminds me of the feelings that also come in the bhajans’ reciting the feelings of radha for her krishna. one of the stories i read the another day had rukmini serving radha food and later on milk.

it was krishna whose devout bhakt radha is, comes to know, that something was left to be placed in her plate even when we think he isn’t there!

when finally radha had food and is going to sleep, rukmini comes to krishna. he can’t sleep as he says radha has milk before going to sleep. so rukmini acknowledges. she goes and gives radha a glass of milk and comes back. even then krishna cannot sleep. she sees that and queries again. he says that radha should have hot milk.

so she rushes again and come back. now this time krishna’s palm has burn marks. she asks why? krishna says you gave her boiled one, so i took some heat of it.. wow..

Jiya laage na tum bin mora….

is that what bhakti is all about, and is what shraddha results in, brilliant and amazing.. 🙂

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows – part 2 (Harry Potter 7 – part 2) – a must watch for HP fans!

Harry Potter 7-2 poster

Harry Potter 7-2 poster

Harry Potter series has come to an end. And in such a great fashion. It all started when we (the Muggles) as college students were after the Hobbits of JRR in The Lord of the Rings Trilogy. One fever ended after 3 parts and the other continued till this 8th and the last part. Note that the prequel of LTR series is in the making, and yes, Hobbit would arrive may be next year. Till then we have Batman (The Dark Knight rises) and Spiderman (reboot) series coming up.

As all of you would already know, this story is coming to an end and Voldemort (you know who must not be named) has finally  decided to take on Hogwarts when he finds out Harry is hiding there. And the final battle at Hogwarts, good versus the evil.

Acting of the lead pairs is phenomenal. We have aged with Daniel Radcliffe, Emma Watson and Rupert Grint. More than a decade has passed after the first film arrived. These 3 as  kids were so cute.  J K Rowling’s stories are all time hit and she has given us the memories to be kept for our lifetime.

The other actors – Tom Felton, Helen Bonham Carter, Michael Gambon and Alan Rickman too have done justice to their roles.

The Background score is what you keep on play while you memorize the events.

We saw the movie in 3D and yes, it was a pleasure to watch.

And as Harry says it to Voldemort, after he asks : What is this life worth living for? – To die for the ones you love. (which James and Lily did for him – these characters come alive on-screen for this last part and yes Dumbledore arrives for a few scenes too)

May be JKR and WB(Warner Brothers) should keep Harry Potter weeks in the coming years to cash back on the popularity of the series.

delhi belly music review

i liked bhaag d k bose, the day it came on the television sets. it somehow tells us the way today’s youth thinks of the current situation. run betaji run… its a kinda a rock music feel to it.

the other songs i liked were

i hate you – like i love you.. its the song of the 1980’s style – where the instruments are  used heavily and also has a qawwali feel. aamir khan takes in the mike in between to have some fun (dil todu haddi bhi, kumfu khelu kabaddi bhi!). interesting. i like it more when the song takes pace.

switty tera pyaar… the punjabi folk music accompanies with a hiphop style.. remixed with punk rock style.

jaa chudail… video reminds me of mithunda.. this one might be amazing to watch in full.

tere siva – the romantic song of this album and probably of the year too. ram sampath sings this track with tarannum malik and its impression is quite hard on mind and at heart. absolutely in love with this one. the only thing – this was not in the promos – as this song runs in background in the movie and gives out some interesting things – which none would have asked for before the movie’s release.

bedardi raja – this is funny to watch on screen and like above was not promoted too. the remix version is much better!

aamir is thinking of a sequel as the news suggest today and with the title “disco fighter”!!!

the videos are different than the overall bollywood tree- dance types, and the main theme of this album rests on fusion of two or more types of music. the lyrics add to the flavour of the songs..

who cares?

the last week was exhilarating.. we had many guests from other parts of the world.

we had a nice time together after meeting with them after about 6 years of working and bonding together through work.

the ” who cares” attitude was the best part in them… enjoy life to the fullest!

we had a big party for them and they enjoyed all the classical music, the songs and the program later…

for them all they observed was new to them, like the puneri pagdi, the kumkum and the reason behind it.. and asked me on me being single till now 😛

good times run fast…

Not sure I understand

This has become one of my favorite tracks… Sung by Robbie Williams / Escapology

Come on hold my hand, I wanna contact the living.
Not sure I understand, This role I’ve been given.

I sit and talk to god And he just laughs at my plans,
My head speaks a language, I don’t understand.

I just wanna feel real love, Feel the home that I live in.
’cause I got too much life, Running through my veins, going to waste.

I don’t wanna die, But I ain’t keen on living either.
Before I fall in love, I’m preparing to leave her.
I scare myself to death, That’s why I keep on running.
Before I’ve arrived, I can see myself coming.

I just wanna feel real love, Feel the home that I live in.
’cause I got too much life, Running through my veins, going to waste.

And I need to feel, real love – And a life ever after.
I cannot get enough.

I just wanna feel real love, Feel the home that I live in,
I got too much love, Running through my veins, going to waste.

I just wanna feel real love, In a life ever after
There’s a hole in my soul, You can see it in my face, it’s a real big place.

Come and hold my hand, I wanna contact the living,
Not sure I understand, This role I’ve been given

Anjaana Anjaani music

Overall this is a total filmy album that too Bollywood shtyle. some good numbers, one/ two  dance numbers , one two songs with the sorrows of the lead pair and some remixed.

Missing the variety of songs – last seen only in Dev D album.

Hairat – sung by Lucky Ali – is the favorite of mine from the track.

Anjaana Anjaani – the sad version – is also a good one, especially when i am in a different mood as my last post says it all.

Feel Good – has a feel good factor to it.

Khuda – Rahat Fateh Ali song, well lyrics, grows slowly on you..

Anjaana Anjaani – the slow version – is a good one, but better when it is heard as a remix.

In all the album reminds you of the Dostana track altogether with IHLS one. all the 3 being Vishal Shekhar compositions.

music of I Hate Luv Stories

The pick of this album is Bin Tere (which is in Hinglish!) sung by Shafaqat Amanat Ali and Sunidhi Chauhan (I like her voice – starting from Massst!)

Also I liked the music variations done in this song.

Hain kya ye jo tere mere darmiyan hain…

andhekhi ansuni koi dasta hain,

lagne lagi ab zindagi khali- hain meri…

lagne lagi ab har saans khali- hain meri…

Bin tere…. Bin tere….Bin tere…. koi khalish hain hawaon mein Bin Tere……..

Second of liking in dec. order comes the song with Rajasthani folk tune – Bahara (female version Shreya & Sona, Male version – Rahat Fateh Ali Khan)

Jab Mila tu – reminds of the Dostana – Jaane Kyon – sung by Vishal

IHLS (title Track) – its more of like – Pappu Can’t Dance. Again sung by Vishal.

Sadka is an intense song – like –  Jaane tu Mera Kya hain male version.

Shekhar of the Vish-Shek duo comes to sing Bin tere (reprise) version. Its less on music – just a guitar and vocals. The Shhh in Khalishhh – is more like Guzarissh! good attempt – could have been better.

Over all a nice and romantic track & can be heard online @ the official  web
