I’d like to bat another full 50 overs – Tendulkar

Finally, it was Sachin again on the cricket track to produce a magnificient 200* (that too not out) while playing the whole 50 overs in a one day format of the game. He still needs some 2300+ runs to get to another milestone of 20,000 runs in one day games.

Many records have been created, many are more to come from the humble and always down to earth great legend (I dare not-to-say a man!).  He had proudly elevated all again and proved his mettle and capabilities yet again and made us proud this time “again”.

First to have a record of a double century and that too against a strong opponent like South Africa!

The great leg spinner Shane Warne on his tweets :

nervous for my good friend Sachin everything crossed for you mate !!!! ps glad I’m not bowling to him today hahaha

Below article from Cricinfo, which i’d like to share…

Sachin Tendulkar, who broke the record for the highest individual ODI score, overtaking Saeed Anwar and Charles Coventry on his way to the formats first double-hundred, has said his ability to bat the entire 50 overs was a testament to his fitness after having played the game for more than 20 years.

“It feels good that I lasted for 50 overs, a good test of my fitness. Id like to bat another 50 overs at some stage and see that the fitness level doesnt drop,” Tendulkar said after his effort helped India take a unassailable 2-0 lead in the series.

“The ball was coming onto the bat and I was striking the ball well. So when everything falls into its place, it feels nice. It was one of the innings where I felt I was moving well. Since I was timing the ball well, I could be more aggressive and put pressure on the bowlers.”

Tendulkar, while dedicating his feat to the people of India, credited coach Gary Kirsten for the teams success in both forms of the game after the debacle in the World Cup in the Caribbean.
