last week has went to 2- Tristhali yatra’s meaning at three destinations in the same journey and that 2 happened 2wice.
travelled abt 1000 kms in each journey and that too each happening in about a days time (abt 30 hrs).
the first was Tuljapur, Akkalkot & Ganagapur
In the ascending order of visit, we landed @ Tuljapur (its considered to be one of the four Goddess’ residing places – a peetha – of the 3 1/2 peetha’s famous in Maharsahtra ) in the morning left for Akkalkot in the afternoon and in the evng wer at Ganagapur. The places eing of immense importance to the followers, the first of Goddess Shakti in the form of Tuljabhavani aai ( Tuljabhavani mother) and the latter two dedicated to the places of worships of Incarnations of Lord dattatreya.
The Ganagapur place is popular for the stay of Shree Nrusinha Saraswati Swamiji – The second incarnation of Lord Dattatreya and Akkalkot for being the residence of Swami Samartha Maharaaj (also considered to be Nrusinha Saraswati Swami who returned after being in samadhi for 350 years in Himalayas)
The second tristhali trip was @ Narsoba Wadi (Nrusinha Wadi), Kolhapur and Ichalkaranji.
Kolhapur is a sweet city and so is the reason Dutta Maharaj likes this place.
Visited the Mahalakshmi temple – also another peetha – in the noon when the rush was terribly low. had a quick lunch witha company friend who by luck was in Kolhapur and free. Thanks to him.
Then visited the Datta Bhiksha temple where its considered Lord Dattatreya arrives for gathering food from his followers in the afternoon and luckily arrived just the same time which is considered auspicious, @ 3 in the noon.
Then went to bus stop and seeing the bus of Wadi fell in love of the idea of going there. The trip being solely intended to visit Ichalkaranji, was diverted again. (By Gods Grace ) 🙂
Stepped into Waadi’s bus and arrived @ Wadi by evening – 6 pm. Had the Darshan. Wadi is another place where Shree Nrusinha Saraswati lived for abot 22 years.
Then went to ichalkaranji the place of Shree Vinayak Maharaaj Phatak. Had darhsan of the Ganpati he himself had situated in the house which dates back to the 18th century. The idol was placed about >90 yrs back. was too late to reach there and after having a small chat with His grandsons left for Kolhapur in the night, clock showing 9:10 pm.
Ohho wat a tinme that was. a great trip in the new year eve.
had supper @ about 11.00 pm and had to do a small research for hotels as the city was under high security due to night year bash’s. the next day saw in the news that the shops were closed as early as by 6pm itself. Lucky again to find a hotel – that too shudhdha shakahari (serving only vegeterain food).
The end of the day, the bus ticket i got of a prvate bus had another passeneger and got it corrected, to find that the bus had the late timimg of 12:30 am, hah and witha feast of Rab ne Bana di Jodi in the bus!
as they say, it ended in a happy journey……..
